TIPS ON WHAT TO BRING (and not)

We look forward to seeing you soon at our house. In preparation for your visit, we wanted to send along some information that can enhance your visit and help you prepare for your trip. Below is some information about the house so you’ll have a better idea of what to bring (or what not to).

Both kitchens (indoor and outdoor) are fully stocked with plates, utensils, glassware, pots/pans, and gadgets. Larger appliances include blender, hand-held mixer, sous-vide machine, waffle-maker, toaster, microwave. If there is an appliance you think we are missing, please let us know.

We have a Keurig coffee machine (and actually one of the fancy kind that also makes lattes/espressos). Also, plenty of pods (coffee, tea, hot chocolate and espresso), coffee-mate creamers, Torani syrups, sweeteners, etc. We also have a drip coffee maker and grinder.

No need to bring/buy oil unless you need something other than extra virgin olive, olive, light olive, or avocado.

Also, plenty of spices (including different kinds of salt and pepper of course). Also, flour, white and brown sugars, maple syrup, paper plates/cups.

And condiments of course (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, tartar, 1000 island, Worcestershire, soy sauce, capers and of course olives for that beautiful martini.)

Also, a large variety of “home food management products” including foil, plastic wrap, parchment, and Ziplocs (big and small).

Also, plenty of paper towels, Kleenex and toilet paper.

We have plenty of bath towels (including hand and wash cloths). Also, a healthy supply of beach towels for the backyard and pool/hot tub.

Each full bath has a hair dryer, so feel you have to waste luggage space on one (unless you have a favorite of course).

We have a washer and dryer, along with detergent, dryer sheets and stain spray.

If you have the need to look smooth, we have an iron, board, even a steamer (with distilled water).

We have Alexa units both inside and out which will play anything from Amazon music. We also do provide a small boombox outside if you want to hook your phone in.

If you are feeling the need to kick back with a movie, we have you covered. Apple TV (1000’s of movies already bought but feel free to buy if not already), Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, HBO/Max, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount, MGM+ and more. We also have two “filled to the brim” DVD drawers (one for kids, one for adults).

Each of our 8 beds (regular and sofa beds) are already made and with a full set of linens. And no need to make the beds or remove linens when you leave – we’ll take of that (who wants to make beds while on vacation???)

As for safety equipment (which hopefully will never have to be used), we have a large first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a HeartStart defibrillator on premise.

If you are bringing a pooch, we have dog beds, bowls, balls and toys. We do have a $150 pet fee (for up to 3 pets on premise at any time). If you plan to have pets, let us know and we can invoice you (unless of course you have already taken care of this).

Even though we have a robust, 3 burner firepit outside, the nights can get quite chilly – so be sure to bring something warm.

We have plenty of pool rafts and floats. However, do bring any swim goggles, masks or toys as desired.

Finally, as mentioned in the listing and rules: Pool temperature is normally 70-75 degrees May-October. If a warmer temperature is desired (85 degrees), pool heat (via propane gas) is available for $100/day, 2-day minimum. This covers the cost of the propane gas (or more accurately covers part of the cost, we cover the rest - yes sad that gas costs this much, ugh). Sorry, pool heat is not available November-April. There is no extra charge for hot tub heating (available year-round).

If you have any questions about anything else needed for your trip, please do not hesitate to ask. We want you to enjoy your trip, not be worrying about toilet paper.

MORE INFO ABOUT OUR RECENT REMODEL!

* The two bedrooms downstairs now have their own full bathrooms and beautiful new showers.  What was the full shared bath downstairs is now connected to the queen bedroom.  For the king bedroom, we took the sunroom and transformed it into a master bath, complete with new state-of-the-art Toto in a water closet. Note: we still have the shower/tub in the upstairs bathroom.

* We added a bedroom upstairs. So now we are a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath house.

* Every bedroom now has its own thermostat and dedicated mini-split unit so you can dial in your comfort.  We also upgraded the central HVAC system on the ground floor.

* Almost every light in the house has been upgraded with new LED recessed lights, fully dimmable (and on a Lutron system).

* The pool now has a new controller - much prettier and easier to use than the last one.

We are so excited to share our new look with you.  Of course if you have any specific questions (or needs), feel free to reach out.
